"1939"
Hello, if you are here from an email, then I am including all the information that you need to be aware of as an extra for any or all of the film dates.
First off, thank you! Thank you for honoring the West German Missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that evacuated just prior to World War II. Thank you for being willing to serve and participate. Thank you for you and your willingness.
Now some things to note. Read this next part very carefully because all of it is important.
What do I need to do first:
- Send me your selfie or a photo with you and all coming with you.
- Send me your exact measurements (if you haven't already)--clothing sizes were different in the 1930's:
- women:
- height
- weight
- bust
- hips
- waist
- men
- height
- weight
- pant size, for example 32x33
- long sleeved shirt size, for example, 16 1/2" neck and 32"
- Email me where you are coming from so I can add it to my sheet so I can give you the best call time figured out by the Key Second Director.
How do I prepare?
Men: Let your hair grow out but also be willing to let hair and make-up trim it to make it look like the dapper 1930's styles.
Yes, I chose the ones with a smolder look. Hahahahhhaaaa! This guy just looks annoyed, but handsome nonetheless.
When will I know what time to be on set: I will find out from the Key Second Director what time you will need to be there the night before you are scheduled to be on set. I will not know beforehand and you can rest assured that I will contact you and let you know as soon as I know. If you email me and ask me when you need to be there, that is okay--but I will give you the same answer as above. If you do not hear from me by the morning of your shoot--text me--my phone number will be in the emails from me.
What do I need to bring: Please bring your phone and a book or something to occupy you. It is not unusual to have the hurry up and wait happen on set. It's perfectly normal and to be expected. Some of the shoots are at night. Please bring a jacket or coat for when it gets chilly. We won't have any for you. Snacks will be on set--but if you have specific dietary needs it would be good if you brought your own.
Males:
